ARAM KHACHATURIAN Aram Khachaturian (6 June 1903 – 1 May 1978) was a Soviet-Armenian composer whose works were often influenced by Armenian folk music. Aram composed numerous works for the violin, cello, piano as well as three symphonies & three ballets. His work has also featured in a number of film scores including 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) & Ice Age (2006). Aram is the composer for the state anthem of the Armenian SSR.
