THE 12 CELLISTS OF THE BERLIN PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
The 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic (Die 12 Cellisten der Berliner Philharmoniker) are a group of 12 cellists, who perform & record as an all-cello ensemble. The group first came together in 1974 at the Salzburg Mozarteum & even though the line-up has changed somewhat over the years, The 12 Cellists have continued to astonish the world with their sound & their tonal combinations. Their most recent album was released in 2006.
