Vanessa-Mae Nicholson (born in Singapore), known on stage as Vanessa-Mae is an internationally known classical and pop musician. Her music style is self-described as "violin techno-acoustic fusion".
In April 2006, the UK's Sunday Times Rich list ranked Vanessa-Mae as the wealthiest young entertainer under 30 with an estimated fortune of $64 million from concerts and record sales. She has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide which is unprecedented for a young female violinist.
